SERVICES

FAMILY WORSHIP

Our Sunday family services start at 10.30am.  On the first Sunday of each month, our worship includes a special focus for children, but there is content for all age groups. Our worship on the third Sunday of each month tends to include more hymns and songs and a shorter message. We include Communion in our services on the second and last Sundays of each month, although we sometimes vary this arrangement in certain circumstances. See our Home page for details of this Sunday’s service.

Monthly Cycle of Services

  • First Sunday - family worship including a special focus for children and content for all age groups
  • Second Sunday - family worship with Communion
  • Third Sunday - family worship with more hymns and songs and a shorter message
  • Fourth / Fifth Sunday - family worship (with Communion where this Sunday is the last in the month)

BIBLE STUDY

On Thursday evenings, from 7.45pm to 8.45pm, we have Bible study and prayer, which we call Questions of Faith. Currently, this is taking place online using Zoom. Why not join us so that we can discover more about the Word of God together? Please ask in church if you would like the joining instructions for Zoom.

NEW TO INGAWAY CHURCH?  WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

We aim to give you a warm welcome, but also the time and space to get used to your new surroundings.

Our family services start at 10.30am each Sunday and have a duration of around one hour. There will usually be someone to greet you at the door and to help you with any questions you may have. Check out our Gallery page to see what the church looks like inside. There are no reserved seats so just sit where you feel most comfortable.

Our worship has an informal, relaxed feel. It is prayer and Bible-based, and usually includes hymns and songs. We have a variety of speakers to lead our worship.

We include Communion in our worship twice each month, usually on the second and last Sundays. You are welcome to share in Communion if you feel ready. It is a personal choice and no questions are asked. Symbolic elements (a wafer or bread and grape juice) are provided to each person, and we then eat and drink together.

Our Creed on the About Us page tells more about what we believe.

At the end of our worship, we have a short time for refreshments and friendly conversation.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

When there is demand, we provide a small Sunday School for younger people. It takes place during part of our family worship service and is led by volunteers. There is Bible-based teaching and art, craft and play. Parents and guardians are welcome to accompany their children.

COFFEE CLUB

Every Friday, from 10.30am to 12noon, Ingaway Church hosts a Coffee Club. This provides an opportunity for conversation and light refreshments. Sometimes, there are games and quizzes or perhaps a talk from a local organisation. From time-to-time, lunches and outings are organised for those who wish to take part.

All welcome .

WEDDINGS AND FUNERALS

In certain circumstances, weddings and funerals may be conducted in the church. For further information, please get in touch using the details on our Contact page.
